Some of the following descriptions may help you to decide whether you, your book(s) and the agency would be a great match.
- You are a non-fiction writer with an unmistakable stamp of originality and able to deliver a strong narrative text.
- You are writing for a mainstream market rather than on esoteric subjects.
- Like it or not, we live in an age of celebrity, so great joy if you are popular on TV and/or have a strong media presence, and are thinking of writing an autobiographical book.
- You are in a position to write the authorised biography of a fascinating subject, and have access to family, friends, correspondence and other documents.
- You want to share your exceptional knowledge and experience derived from working in your chosen area of expertise, such as being a performer, chef, sportsperson, entrepreneur, health and diet expert, inspirational motivator etc, especially if it has brought you to the public’s attention.
- You have led an extraordinary life with extreme highs and lows, and have triumphed over great adversity.
- You are an investigative writer, who has unearthed previously unknown information on subjects of major interest.
- You have discovered previously unseen documents, photographs, diaries or manuscripts, which provide new insights and revelations about a historic figure, a past social era, an important event or an unsolved mystery.
- You have fresh angles and information on a big event in history, or you have been engaged in exciting and dangerous military operations.
- You have a powerfully nostalgic and evocative personal story, packed with dramatic incidents and social content, of your life and work, especially during the period of 1930 to 1980.
- You have a genius for developing books about words, origins, or numbers.
- You write about popular culture and probably have played a significant role in it.
